We want to thank North Raleigh Ministries for
contributing two boxes of children's books to give to the Lagoon Road Baptist church. We packed and loaded seven footlockers on the church van
ready for our 6:15 AM departure tomorrow morning.

Jan 26, 2009: Planning Meeting at Trinity

On the Monday before departure, we met at Trinity to do our final planning for the trip to Belize. We discussed packing, medications, gifts for the pastor and the church. We will gather children's books, school supplies, Gator Aid for the refreshments at the worksite, some construction tools, automotive repair materials, and flash drives for the students at the Baptist Training Center.
We will be holding evening devotions to draw us closer to God. It will sensitize us to how He is speaking to us though this experience and how He is using our talents. It will also build our friendships stronger as we share these thoughtful times. Thanks to everyone for volunteering to lead one evening.

Jan 25: Mission Commissioning
Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC is celebrating a year with the theme "Joining Hands With God: The Power of One". We are joining hands with God through the partnership between the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Baptist of Belize. This morning, our church prayed for our mission sending seven from our congregation to Belize to work with the Lagoon Road Baptist Church. This blog will tell about our trip, our discoveries, our longings, our service, and our learning. There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to one hope when you were called-one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. --Ephesians 4:4-5
